About Us

Mission

Our mission is to unite neighbors in collective action, amplify local voices, and foster a resilient, inclusive community where everyone has the power to shape a better future.

Our efforts focus on housing justice, food access, youth engagement, wellness, and building long-term community leadership.

Vision

We envision a vibrant, inclusive community where neighbors lift each other, local voices shape local changes, and every person feels empowered to build a safer, stronger, more connected neighborhood.

History

Following a months-long planning process with residents and the City of Rochester, the Marketview Heights Neighborhood Revitalization Plan was adopted in 2005. From that plan, the Collective Action Project was created. Since then, MVHCAP has been working to bring residents and stakeholders together to address issues of common concern, share information, and advocate for our neighborhood.
